Walker & Hawkes are one of the finest country wear producers in the UK. The 'Shooting Tweeds' used are Teflon coated to ensure amazing durability with performance. No brambles will be ruining this Jacket.
This beautiful Brown fabric has a composition of 60% Wool, 25% Polyester, 11% Acrylic and 4% Other Fibres, with extra seems from the top of the shoulder and arms from extra strength and durability. A breathable membrane is used between the lining and fabric , making the garment both waterproof and breathable. Body Perspiration is let out whilst being waterproof to the outside elements.

Rare to find clothes that fit my 5’ 4” frame. The XXS was sufficient. Also rare to find affordable waterproof tweed. Fits eerily well, including my arms and offers sufficient space around the neck - which is a usual source of agitation. The coat fits my proportions splendidly and the high pocket placement is far superior to those on other jackets I’ve owned. I like that there are two rather large (not small and flimsy) zips, I am guessing in the event that one breaks. I personally experience the coat as something crafted with the wearer in mind and very considerately so. For the insulation, it is not heavy or restricting.
I will however say that it is handsomer in person than it appears in the picture on the website. The brown on mine was a little bit lighter and had streaks of yellow and red thread to really make it look like bona fide tweed. Forgot to mention the very attractive green inner lining of the coat feels breathable, silky and not agitating, as opposed to the clammy inner lining of a parka or the borg inner lining of a woodchopper. It also doesn't have a strange factory smell when you take it out the parcel, which agitated me about other purchases in the past from different shops (not this one).
Best coat, I have had , cozy and warm. Service was excellent,will order again.
Great looking jacket that provides a good level of warmth and protection. ordered a large size, but a medium was delivered, however I was happy with the fit so decided to keep it. Overall great value and service.
