These are very well made boots, and well worth the price. They felt a little stiff around the ankle stitching at first, but were fine after a couple of days 'breaking in' and wearing indoors. My usual size is 39/40. The size 6 is perfect with a comfortably shaped foot-bed.
The day these boots arrived I put them on and walked six miles without any discomfort whatsoever. I have now walked about 70 miles in them and they feel great. The soles are quite soft though, so I don't know how long they will last. I normally wear a size 9 shoe with normal socks. These size 9 boots fit me well with medium to thick hiking socks; this is perfect for this time of year but may be too warm come summer. I prefer this type of boot for short 2-3 hour walkis into town, through the woods and around the local Chiltern hills. I bought these boots because they are waterproof and typically after all the rain recently, there has been no rain since these were delivered. I have proper hiking boots for tougher conditions but these seem ideal for what I need them for.
