I’d been considering replacing my cheap wellies with a premium brand for a while, getting a dog being the decisive reason. My neighbour had bought a pair of Aigles four years ago and had raved about them. Looking at the prices of the competition, I decided Aigles were the only sensible choice. I’ve not been disappointed. The sizing is generous, but that allows for flexibility in sock and insole choice to fit the owner’s feet (I plumped for Darn Tough mountaineering socks and insoles out of an old pair of walking shoes). I have relatively small calves, so I had to drill out a couple of additional holes in the fastening to allow me to tighten the calf buckles sufficiently. With those adjustments the Parcours are now slipper like in quality of fit.
Yes they’re waterproof, yes they’re hard wearing, yes they’re functional and practical. However most importantly they’re really comfortable. They’re not walking boot snug, my feet moving a noticeable amount, but on 5-10 mile walks I’ve not experienced any rubbing or soreness. The leather lining adds a durable but very comfortable and warm feel to the boots.
The Parcours are a premium product at a premium, but arguably not overly-inflated price. What they are not are the pantomime-priced and arguably not as high quality boots sold by other premium brands more in vogue with “The horsey set”. If you’re looking for probably the best wellingtons on the market, certainly at a price that’s sensible (for those of us who have to consider such matters), the Parcours are an excellent choice.
This time I needed one size larger because of duff feet! They are smart and cushion my feet. I can definitely recommend. I enjoy a deep tread as the underside of my feet are sensitive. These last for years.
Product was originally delivered late with no communication until the day before. This made ne concerned the product was not genuine due to the large discount. The product was also faulty when it did arrive. However, they did rectify the problem by sending another pair and they did this quickly and before i returned the old pair. So all in all i would buy again.
Good price and quick delivery.
Genuine business, great to deal with.
Thanks for my Aigle’s !
Superb quality!
