Aigle Laforse Vibram ankle boot in Brown, as expected with Aigle, it is a high quality and durable boot for any type of adventure. Utilising the MTD technology these boots are both waterproof and breathable. With a leather upper the Laforse is sturdy and lightweight.

These boots were very comfortable, straight from the box, and convenient to put on and take off, but they were never fully water resistant. After wearing them in damp conditions I always had damp socks. Now, after about a month and a half, the reason for this is apparent. both boots have failed along the junction between upper and sole.This is my third pair of Aigle boots that have failed within two months. The first two had the Aigle soles and heels. On both, the heel suffered an internal collapse. (And both pairs also were persistently damp in wet conditions.) These third pair of Aigle boots have the Vibram soles. No similar problem with the structure of the heels; but the sole is coming away from the boot after less than two month's wear. I chose Aigle boots because I had previously owned a pair, apparently the same, which had dome three or four year's good service, but something seems to have changed, and i now despair of Aigle's ability to make boots that are fit for purpose.
Despite the shortcomings of Aigle, I must highly recommend the response of Tweed Outdoor to these problems. Their service has been above and beyond.
